You don’t have to depend on anyone when it comes to dishes. Bosch dishwashers will take care of utensils of all kind, leaving you stress-free! So how does it work;
For the small, less-stained utensils like cups, saucers, glasses use the upper basket.
Place the big oily utensils like kadhaai, pressure cooker, pots and pans along with the plates and bowls in the lower basket.
The dishwashers may also be equipped with a cutlery drawer above the upper basket, for cutlery.
The spray arms, placed below upper and lower basket, rotate and spray hot water on the utensils. And once the washing process is over, the machine drains out the dirty water and takes in fresh water for rinsing and drying.
Always remember to place the utensils upside down in the baskets facing the spray arms below the basket.
To quick-start the dishwasher, all you have to do is remove the bigger left-over remains and load the utensils upside down. No pre-rinsing required! During the process, the remaining food particles get collected in the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. After loading, just select the program and let the dishwasher take over.
Pre-rinse cycle- The food particles stuck on the utensils are taken care of by the pre-rinse cycle which uses room temperature water to remove the stains. Once the process is complete, the machine drains out the water.
Washing cycle- Just select the temperature, and the heater heats the water accordingly. The main wash cycle happens in hot water. After the process is complete the machine drains out the water.
Rinsing- For every rinse cycle, Bosch dishwasher takes in fresh water. For very greasy & oily utensils, one rinse cycle is in room temperature and the remaining uses hot water. For the lesser, the machine runs two rinse cycles in cold water and remaining in hot water. To reduce the surface tension of the water, rinse aid is added in the last rinse cycle by forming a thin layer over the clean dishes. The rinse aid helps make the water runoff quickly so that the dishes come out dry & sparkling clean.
Drying- How is 100% drying ensured? The hot water used during the wash cycle heats the inner wall of the dishwasher. The process takes just 60-120 minutes and is also highly energy efficient.
Dishwasher needs special detergents that help to deliver sparkling clean dishes. This dishwasher detergent kit is easily available on the leading online portals, Bosch brand stores and Bosch Home Customer Service. The products include Automatic Dishwasher Detergent, Rinse Aid and Dishwasher Salt.
Why are these products so special?
- The Automatic Dishwasher Detergent is specially formulated for best washing results.
- Water drops often leave spots on the utensils. Rinse Aid helps in avoiding this. It also reduces the surface tension of the water, allowing water to run off quickly and results in those squeaky-clean and dry utensils!
- The Dishwashing Salt softens the water. Avoid the usage of local rock salt, iodised salt or table salt in the dishwasher. It’s not just the salt that reduces water hardness, it is done with the help of ionizer contained at the base and beside the salt container. The capacity of the salt tank is approx. 1 Kg.
- The Tablet contains a mixture of Detergent, Dishwashing Salt and Rinse Aid. One tablet is ideal for one wash cycle.
Water Inlet Connection: Make sure the water inlet connection is of ¾ inch. The water pressure should be between 1 to 10 bar (means, that when the tap is turned on, at least 9 to 10 liters of water is discharged per minute).
Water Drainage Connection: Be cautious about the drainage hose, as it should not be bent or pulled. Height difference between the placement area (ground level) & drainage point should be maximum 1.1m
Electrical Connection: Your dishwasher needs the right amount of power. Connect the appliance only to an alternating current via correctly installed 15 ampere earthed socket.
Ensure the following (contact an electrician for advice if required):
The mains plug and socket are compatible.
The earthing system is correctly installed.
Do not use multi plugs/sockets or extension boards.
