The Christmas season is finally here! Besides having a regular potluck dinner, decorating your tree and giving gifts, there are more ways to double up the fun for your party.
From a live cooking station to a cookie frosting competition, we show you how to give your guests an unforgettable night!
1. Make your dinner an interactive experience.
Before your main dishes, welcome your guests with an appetiser for all ages — pick 'n' mix skewers!
First, prepare chopped meats, bell peppers and vegetables of your choice before seasoning them with salt and pepper. Now, impress guests with your grilling skills.
Create your own live cooking station with your Bosch Induction Hob and an induction friendly griddle plate — you get a healthy meal and fuss-free cleaning afterwards. With optimal heat distribution from the hob, your ingredients will cook quickly and evenly, grilled to perfection.
Let your guests personalise their skewers just the way they like it — they’ll be sure to go for seconds!
2. Get creative with your sugar cookies.
Add a little spice to your party with a mini sugar cookie decorating contest.
Bake or simply buy pre-made sugar cookies before the party, and make your own frosting in a myriad of colours.
Combine powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, vanilla extract and desired food colouring until smooth without any lumps! Once you get your desired consistency, place the frosting into mini piping bags.
Gather the kids and let them decorate a few sugar cookies each with the multi-coloured frosting. The most creative cookie gets a special prize on top of their Christmas gifts!
3. Play Secret Santa with a twist.
This Christmas, we bring the age-old tradition of Secret Santa to the next level.
Instead of revealing each other’s Secret Santa in the usual way, get everyone to write three things about their Santees on their respective present and place it under the Christmas tree.
Get the Santees to pick out the description that they think suits them best. Read out the description on the present you picked, and let your Secret Santa reveal themselves. Now you know if your Santa really knows you well!
Stressed out on what to buy your Santee? Don’t worry, we’re here to help if you need any gift ideas before the party.
4. Chill out with some elevated hot chocolate.
After all the fun and games, it’s time to serve some hot chocolate to end the night.
Top it off the classic way with marshmallows or even better — line the rim of the cups with flavoured salts! Make an easy matcha tea salt or citrus salt in just minutes.
Matcha tea salt: With the chopper attachments and pulse function, simply blitz a handful of sea salt and matcha powder together evenly and consistently with your Bosch MultiTalent Food Processor .
Citrus salt: First peel off the skin from a lemon or orange and dry it in your Bosch Oven at 100°C for an hour. Again with the same food processor, grind the fruit skin and sea salt evenly into fine dust.
Your guests will be left with a burst of sweet and zesty taste from the hot chocolate. You can even put the flavoured salts into glass jars which double as gifts for them to bring home too! Now, they can use them for their own homemade cocktails or smoothies.
